AKC Meet the Breeds

The Weekend of Oct. 17th & !8th, 2009 saw animal lovers from all over the New York area flocking to the Jacob Javits Center for AKC’s Meet the Breeds, designed to introduce the public to the diversity of dog & cat breeds as it showcased the joys of pet ownership. This family friendly event featured numerous venders, demonstrations of canine activities such as agility & flyball, & most importantly, gave people an opportunity to meet & discover the various breeds.  The Meadowlands CKCS Club was delighted to create & host the ACKCSC breed booth, themed as an English Garden Tea party, complete with a rustic English stone castle backdrop! The popularity of our beloved breed had constant crowds of people visiting the booth, seeking information and interaction with the friendly furry members of our team, who, in true cavalier fashion, were only too eager to kiss & wag their way into everyone’s hearts!  Thank you to all of our club members who gave some time that weekend to bring dogs and puppies, answer endless questions about Cavaliers and highlight the importance of responsible dog ownership.

Cavalier crowd pleaser....doing her job!
